My journey to starting Natural Selections began in the most unexpected way. When the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020 brought my software business to a grinding halt, I found myself facing financial uncertainty and a desperate need for a new venture. As I navigated the challenges of that time, I discovered an unlikely source of inspiration in my own backyard. A green bush, Tetradina riparia, or Ginger Bush, caught my attention, and I soon learned about its remarkable medicinal properties and natural insect-repelling abilities.

As a gardening enthusiast and advocate for natural medicine, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. I harnessed the power of the Ginger Bush to create innovative health products, starting with a Mosquito Repellent Cream and a Healing Cream for pets with skin issues. With a small batch in hand, I took a leap of faith, offering samples to the first 10 people who expressed interest. The overwhelmingly positive feedback and word-of-mouth referrals that followed gave me the momentum I needed to turn Natural Selections into a thriving business.
