Himalayan Salt:

Himalayan salt is believed by many to be a healthier alternative to common table salt, or sodium chloride. Though mined like rock salt, Himalayan pink salt is technically a sea salt.

Kala namak or “black salt” is another version of the Himalayan pink salt. Kala namak is a kiln-fired rock salt with a sulphurous, pungent smell used in the Indian subcontinent. It is also known as “Himalayan black salt“, Sulemani namak, bire noon, bit loona, bit lobon, kala loon, guma loon, or pada loon, and is manufactured from the salts mined in the regions surrounding the Himalayas

Black salt has antioxidant properties and has surprisingly low sodium levels. It also contains important minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium, which are essential to healthy bodies. Black salt stimulates bile production in the liver, and helps control heartburn and bloating.

Black salt helps reduce excess acid in the stomach, while its high mineral content lessens the damage caused by acid reflux. Black salt helps improve digestion and also alleviates intestinal gas.  The alkaline properties of black salt help in curing stomach woes without giving way to bloating and constipation.   • I use the Himalayan salt for everything from cooking to spa baths. I’ve yet to try the Black Himalayan Salt, but have heard only good things about it. So glad I found your site and that you stock it.
