Description
Ivermectin is an anthelmintic. It works by interfering with the nerve and muscle functions of worms, by paralyzing and killing them. Ivermectin is a repurposed animal medicine and has been approved for human use in 1987. It is used to treat Cancer and for treatment of parasitical infestations including head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichiasis, ascariasis and lymphatic filariasis.
