The Design
Dyed a rich, deep indigo blue with crisp white geometric patterns hand-painted on top. The design features traditional Bambara motifs – chevrons, zig-zags, lines, and diamond forms – arranged in repeating vertical panels. Each symbol carries meaning: protection, fertility, history, and stories of the land. The slightly raw, hand-done edges give it that true artisan feel. The Craft
Made by Mali artisans using the centuries-old bogolan technique. 100% cotton cloth is handwoven, then fermented in mud baths and dyed with natural plant-based pigments. The mud resists the indigo dye, leaving the white patterns behind. No two pieces are ever exactly the same – the slight variations are what make it real.
Use It For
Perfect weight for apparel, home décor, or statement pieces. Think: throw pillows, wall hangings, table runners, kimono-style jackets, tote bags, or upholstery accents. The indigo + white palette works with boho, modern, or Afrocentric interiors.
